Sun 19:45 Theatre Royal Brighton Stones in His Pockets –  See what happens when a major Hollywood film studio descends upon a small village in County Kerry, through the eyes of two aspiring Irish Movie extras Jake and Charlie. Performed in almost every country in the world. Stones in His Pockets is a hilarious and sometimes poignant tale which stands out as one of the funniest and moving plays of its time. special Dail Telegraph deal of £15 for this date only. As you now have to select your seat when booking the only way to get seats together is if one of us makes the booking so, if you wish to go please contact me 4 days before the event.  Once you have booked, you will then be liable for payment to me. If you prefer to book yourself and are happy that you may not be sitting together but just want to meet up for a drink beforehand, then please contact me.

Thu 19:30 Cineworld Crawley RH10 8LR Madam Butterfly on Sydney Harbour – Cineworld Card holder £5 or £10.40 if you buy on line. Please note that you now have to choose your seat, so you may not be sitting with others going if you are not booking on block. Fri 19:45 The Theatre Royal Brighton The Illegal Eagles – are now established as the world’s ultimate tribute to The Eagles. Their ability to capture the emotion of Don Henley’s vocal deliveries has ensured that critical and audience acclaim has been unanimous. Sun 10:30 Plumpton Green BN7 3BW A walk in the Low Weald with nice views of the South Downs – It starts from Plumpton Green – which is between Burgess Hill and Lewes. Park in the recreation ground opposite the railway station. Morning easy, afternoon moderate.

Fri 14:00 The Corn Exchange Brighton Dome, Church Street, Brighton BN1 1UE Brighton Art Fair – Popular annual event with a wide variety of art works to suit every taste. Sat 10:30 Crowborough TN6 1XE Have your Pooh sticks ready for a scenic walk on Ashdown Forest – It starts a couple of miles west of Crowborough at Black Hill car park, this is on the B2188 about half a mile north of the B2026 junction. Morning easy, afternoon more demanding.
Sat Cardiff  2 day weekend to Cardiff for Welsh Banquet in Cardiff Castle –  and visit to St Fagan’s open Welsh air folk museum. £145 twin room or £165 single room
Sun 09:30 Cambridge Day Trip to Cambridge –  Plenty to do and see visit the colleges, punting on the river, markets, cafes, bars, restaurants. The coach will be leaving Burgess Hill at 9.30 and returning about 19:30 which will give you about 6 hours in Cambridge. Cost £15 pp

Thu 10:30 Framfield TN22 5PA A nice walk mainly through farmland and paddocks –  It starts from Framfield (about 2 miles east of Uckfield). Park in Beckets Way or one of the adjoining streets. Moderate.
Fri 11:00 Lindfield Golf Club East Mascalls Lane Lindfield RH16 2QN The Group Golf Society (GG’s) – £12.50 to play 18 holes. Please email Margaret if you would like to play.
Sat 11:00 Highdown Hill Ferring BN12 6PF A Hill top walk with beautiful downland and coastal views – optional walk around Highdown Gardens with refreshments available at Highdown Hotel. Easy walk with slight gradient, about 3 miles (1.5 hrs). Meet in the car park.
Sat 19:00 Chiddingly Village Hall BN8 6HE Chiddingly Festival Fiesta –  Featured bands, DJ’s light and sounds to wonder. Meow Meows are headlining with their infectious ska, funk and soul will turn the dial up. Supporting are the fabulous Ouse Samba – Carnival Beats, dancing grooves, high energy. DJ’s will spin tunes in and around the evening. Food will be available and a well stocked bar with the legendary Fiesta Punch. It’s a great night booking advised. All welcome. Bar 19:00 starts 20:00.
