What we do
For unattached people in Sussex there is no shortage of enjoyable things to do. It’s just a matter of knowing where to find them. The Group, a club for unattached people aged 55+, offers an opportunity to make new friends doing the things you enjoy.
All events are organised by our members. That way we get a really good variety in the things we do and with several hundred members, there are bound to be people who want to do the same things as you.
We have club nights once a month in Worthing, Burgess Hill, Brighton, Horsham and Lewes. Once you have been along to a club night and become a member of The Group, we email a diary twice a month and you just have to contact the member who is organising the event you want to attend. Activities include theatre trips, walks, lunches and dinners, golf, dancing, quizzes, pub evenings, gallery visits and holidays and just about anything our members choose to organise.
Joining The Group is a great way to meet new friends and start enjoying a good social life. Members have said that joining The Group has changed their lives. We are not a dating agency but we are always happy when The Group brings people together. We were delighted to learn that 3 couples who met through our group have married within the last couple of years.
